TLV App - Warden
User Name/Nick: Danii
User DW: yarnzipan
E-mail/Plurk/Discord/PM to a character journal/alternate method of contact: yarnzipan @ plurk
Other Characters Currently In-Game: Jonathan Reid, John Doe, John Gaius, Florian Leickenbloom
Character Name: Aya Rindo
Series: Undead Girl Murder Farce
Age: 925. She has the appearance of a 14 year old girl. Or rather, a 14 year old girl's head. Her behavior, composure, etc. do not in any way reflect her apparent age.
From When?: the end of the first season of the anime (please let there be more!!!)
Warden Justification: Aya is a master detective, on the level of Sherlock Holmes, specializing in cases that have to do with monsters. In her world, there is a worldwide effort to exterminate any and all non-humans that do not pointedly sign up to be 'human allies' and even then they are hardly well-regarded. It's true that she started the work on the hunt for her own body, but she also very much takes any case that calls for her, making a good name for monsters in the human world and helping people even though she's certainly got enough money and means to do absolutely nothing. She puts herself and her companions in danger and she's pit herself against Moriarty (THAT Moriarty) and his goals of making an unstoppable monster out of Jack the Ripper. She handles things with an even hand, and keeps a good humor even though it is VERY frustrating to be a head in a birdcage. Despite handling things in something of a monotone and with obvious intent to be objective, she cares about making sure that victims have some manner of justice they can cling to to heal the losses they've taken and she treats everyone she deals with with compassion and respect.
Item: Her warden item is her birdcage. Messages will spell themselves out on the floor when she needs to know them and a small arrow will point her in the right direction to find her inmate.
Abilities/Powers: Aya is immortal and cannot be killed except by a specific creature in her world, an oni (of which there are exactly two left). She's asked many times how she's survived as just a head in a birdcage: please see her username for the response. For the purposes of the Barge, I would like the Admiral to provide her with, essentially a pair of spectral mage hands, and for her communicator to be able to stick to the bottom of the birdcage for access. The hands can't do anything beyond basic tasks that most peoples hands can do, though to give her some creative problem solving measures, I'd like for them to be both invisible and she can use them within eyesight. (Her body is, as you might guess, her deal so she doesn't get that quite yet).
Wardening Strategies and Philosophies: How will your character respond to and operate on the Barge at large? How will they view their role as warden, and how will they engage their inmate in their efforts to help them on their path to redemption? What are their wardening strengths and weaknesses likely to be? What sorts of inmates would your character pair best with, and conversely, what sorts of inmates would they not be such a good fit for?
Deal: The defeat of Banquet and access to all of their assets, which include her body.
History: This may be linked or written out.
Sample Network Entry: 5-10 sentences of spoken/written monologue, not including narration. This sample should reflect the character's day-to-day behavior and a distinctive voice, and must be Barge setting specific. You are permitted to link a thread from the Test Drive Meme, as long as it's recent (within 3 months of application date) and in network style.
Sample RP: 3-5 paragraphs of prose or brackets RP, with focus on both action and internal thought processes. Must be Barge setting specific. You are permitted to link a thread from the Test Drive Meme, as long as it's recent (within 3 months of application date) and in log style.
Special Notes: Anything else not covered here that you'd like us to know!
